RUSKRDYET?  ©   A Young Adult Anthology

Where Supernatural and Paranormal meets modern communication technology.

I am accepting submissions for a proposed anthology of young adult short stories that fit the criteria below, with the title: RUSKRDYET?©

Please make sure your story complies with the criteria before submitting.  There will be 10-12 short fiction stories in the anthology.  Once the stories are selected and polished (team effort between the authors and myself), they will be submitted to a publisher (L&L Dreamspell, LLC)  for possible publication.  I am hoping that, if accepted, it will be published by the latter part of 2011.

This anthology is geared to the teen/young adult market and will have a ‘pg13’ type rating <G>.  As the Editor it is my job to accept those stories that are up to L&L’s strict standards and then work with the author to polish the story so that the entire anthology is a professional and publishable product.  L&L will accept the anthology only if it meets their standards as a whole, so you are encouraged to send in a short story that has already had your own editing, reviewing and polishing, as that will make it more likely to be accepted by me.

Criteria & Standards:

Each story should include as a major element:  paranormal/supernatural/otherwordly and some sort of technotalk (text/email/computer/cell phone/chats) as part of the major plot line.  Paranormal/Supernatural includes but not limited to werewolves, vampires, ghosts, angels, faeries, witches, zombies, gorgonzola (Oops- meant Gargoyles <G>) and all things that go bump in the night!

It can be any fiction genre: mystery, romance, suspense, etcetera

Please, no explicit sex scenes, pornography or gratuitous vulgarity.  I know teens do and say such things, but this is geared to be a pg13 book that parents are comfortable with for all the stories. I’m not a prude but I play one as the editor.
